Joon Kim Designer & Grandmaster

Greetings~ My name is Joon Kim. I'm an action pistol shooter competing at the highest level as a super-squad Grandmaster, and a handgun instructor who's been at the range almost every day for the last several years.

All that time training, I kept hitting the same frustration: range equipment that was anything but simple. I don't own a truck, so steel was one of my biggest headaches — a typical steel target is heavy, bulky, and built from so many parts that assembly and teardown eat up the time I'd rather spend shooting.

So I set out to fix it. Drawing on my background in design, I started Advent Innovative to build the range/training solutions I always wished existed: minimalist, portable, and genuinely effective — more training, less setup. Every product here is something I invented because it simply makes sense, and every one has been tested and proven on the range, by me, at the level I compete.
